Deferment: A temporary postponement of a student's enrollment or participation in a course or module at LGE.
Withdrawal: Discontinuation of a student's studies at LGE.
General Policies
LGE's transfer, deferment, and withdrawal policies are communicated to current and prospective students through the website, pre-course counseling, orientation, and the student handbook. These resources detail:
Transfer and withdrawal policies.
Timeframes for assessing and processing transfer/withdrawal requests.
Conditions for granting transfers and withdrawals.
Refund policies for transfers and withdrawals.
Course transfer, withdrawal, and deferment requests are subject to LGE's approval. Students will be notified of the decision within four weeks of request initiation.
Students under 18 years of age must submit applications with parent/guardian approval.
The following conditions apply to all transfers, deferments, and withdrawals:
Requests must be submitted in writing using the appropriate forms.
All requests are subject to the Refund Policy.
All outstanding fees must be settled.
Transfer Policies and Processes
Transfers are granted if the student meets the new course's entry requirements and selection process. Transfers take effect in the next term.
If the transfer request is approved:
A new offer letter will be issued within four weeks of the request submission.
The existing contract will be terminated, and a new contract processed. Students must stop attending classes in their current course upon contract termination.
Any unconsumed fees from the current course will be subject to the Refund Policy. Non-refundable amounts may be transferred to the new course, unless otherwise agreed upon between LGE and the student.
The student will undergo pre-counseling, receive an Advisory Note, and sign a new Standard Student Contract.
A new Industry-Wide Course (IWC) insurance policy will be purchased (if applicable).
Process:
The student informs LGE in writing (via the Request for Transfer Form or email), stating the reason and submitting supporting documents at least six weeks before the new term's start.
LGE student support may schedule an advisory session with the student.
The student continues attending the current course while awaiting LGE's decision.
LGE processes the request and informs the student of the outcome and next steps within three days of the decision (and within the four-week processing period).
A new student contract is signed according to LGE's contract procedures. The student must pay any difference in course fees.
Deferment Policies and Processes
Students may apply for deferment before or after course commencement for up to one year under the following conditions:
Academic reasons: Unsatisfactory academic performance.
Non-academic reasons: Personal, medical, or financial reasons.
Deferment approval does not guarantee the course will be offered upon the student's return.
Failure to return after the maximum deferment period results in automatic withdrawal.
Process:
The student informs LGE in writing (via the Request for Deferment Form or email), stating the reason and submitting supporting documents.
LGE student support may schedule an advisory session with the student.
The student continues attending the current course while awaiting LGE's decision. The attendance policy applies.

Withdrawal Policies and Processes
Withdrawals can be student-initiated or LGE-initiated (automatic withdrawal).
Students may initiate withdrawal at any point during the study period.
Automatic withdrawal occurs when the student:
Fails to comply with the attendance policy, sit for all assessments, pay required fees within the payment period, or respond in writing to official LGE communications (email/registered mail) within 14 days.
